“Even though property is old, the two sets of double doors never feel like they are fully closed or secure.”
Being wood they shrink/swell with wet weather, but we never felt really comfortable trying to close them hard.
Across the flat there are a couple of instructions regarding rubbish pickup and bags, and they are slightly different. We left too early on a Sunday to contact anyone, but living in a seaside town we know how important it is to get bins correct (seagulls etc) and we were a little stressed about if we had done it properly.
Everything else was just as described . Really nice stat

Thank you for your comments. You are right that the French windows, which are made of wood as required by our listed building status, do expand and contract according to the amount of rain to which they are exposed. It has been a very wet year and they have expanded considerably. We are arranging with our builder to trim some wood off, although no too much as that would create a draught in drier weather.
I'm sorry to hear that there are two sets of instructions, I was not aware of that. The ones to be followed are those to the left of the front door.
