    “Lovely cottage in stunning setting.”

    Little bit disappointed that, given the excellent weather & forecast for our stay, that we had to wipe down outside furniture & cushions including sweeping all the autumn leaves that had accumulated. It was still a little chilly at night & wood burner was available but no kindling, logs etc anywhere to be found. Would be happy to return.

Axminster 4 miles; Honiton 6 miles; Seaton 10.5 miles

Dalwood is a small rural village resting in East Devon, among the idyllic Blackdown Hills AONB. Its facilities include a traditional pub serving food as well as a general store. Close by are some of Devon's most popular attractions. The market town of Axminster, lined with fine buildings, offers much to the visitor including an excellent range of amenities and a fascinating museum. To the western side of the Blackdown Hills you will find another market town, Honiton also holds much charm along with a museum and an art gallery. After your dose of undulating countryside, walking and cycling, you may wish to head to the coast, nearby there is a choice of wonderful seaside spots including Seaton, Lyme Regis and Sidmouth. All come which their own individual character and promise a fun-packed day trip to the beach with their activities and opportunities on offer.
