As I explained to the owner, what let it down was the poor attention to detail of the cleaners. While flat surfaces waist to head height had clearly been dusted, other areas clearly had not. Similar the ensuite basin had been cleaned, but not the plug. The top of the cooker was covered in burnt on spilt/boiled over food, and two baking trays and a plate had been put away without being cleaned. We have been to many properties that were better equipped and to a higher standard than this, for example, there were only two saucepans, both of them large.
Generally it was a very pleasant property with a very friendly and helpful owner. Such a shame it was let down by the cleaning. This is all the more serious, given that so many viruses are still rife at the moment, e.g. covid, 'flu, Winter vomiting etc.
Having just checked your cleaning guidelines, it is clear that the cleaners of this property are not adhering to them.

That being said, we are very sorry to hear if the cleanliness standard missed the mark on this occasion. This is very unusual for this property. We will certainly ensure that these issues are reported to the housekeeping team and investigated. As with lots of ceramic hobs, it can be a task to rectify any burnt-on damage to the surface, even with lots of scrubbing but the Owner is taking this on board and doing all they can to remedy. Upon receiving your feedback, the property has been checked, and we can confirm that there was a smaller saucepan in the cupboard, totalling three.
