Dorset Council has a comprehensive and highly regarded doorstep recycling scheme which does not incorporate bin bags. Instructions at the property indicate how the scheme works. A brown kitchen cady is provided for food waste, with a bio bag supplied by me. A plastic bin in the kitchen is provided for clean paper, plastic containers, cardboard, etc and no plastic liner is needed. Landfill waste goes into the plastic bag supplied by me attached to the cupboard under the sink. All of these are emptied into the wheelie bins at the side of the garage. Glass bottles go into a square bin outside the property. I offer a container for clean aluminium foil which I take to the village car park for collection by a charity in Dorchester. If customers support the recycling scheme it is helping limit climate change.
I accept that the television has become small by modern standards and will purchase a larger screen television as soon as I am able. I apologise if this affected your happiness on your stay.
Plastic conservatories struggle to retain heat. However, it has been one of the warmest autumns on record. The insulated panelled roof that is now fitted under my ownership helps keep it warmer in the winter and cooler in sunny weather. The conservatory is centrally heated and there is an oil filled radiator in place for cold weather. Blankets are provided in the wardrobe of the ensuite bedroom. The new gas boiler fitted this year is very efficient.
My housekeeper is very dedicated and works to a high standard. My apologies if you felt that the cleanliness of the property did not meet your requirements.
You do not find the position of the property realistic, found it hard to find and found the name plate too low. I do not accept these criticisms. The property has some of the best views of the Jurassic Coast in Charmouth, with Golden Cap and Portland visible in good weather. The driveway is the width of three cars and is directly on Old Lyme Hill. There are two slate nameplates for the property, one on the driveway to be seen on the approach and a second on the bungalow to the left of the front door. I can read them both at 100 feet without my glasses on. They were added by me when I purchased the property six years ago. The bungalow is now on the route of the South West Coast Path and is very easy to find and locate, being on a tarmac public road which is straight and is an historic Roman road.
I hope that you enjoyed the locally sourced welcome pack. Several bottles of Palmers of Bridport real ales, several packets of Moores of Bridport biscuits, a granary loaf from Evershot bakery, a box of Dorset Tea and half a dozen organic eggs. A plastic bottle of semi-skimmed milk is in the fridge. Flowers are in the vase on the dining room table. Nuts and bird seed are available under the kitchen sink for guests to top up the feeders in the front garden, so that they can see the birds come and go. Guests with a dog receive a treat for their pet.
I normally do a curtesy call on guests to check that all is well. This is not so easy in November with the dark evenings and my commitment to my employer Monday to Friday. I did not manage to catch you when you were in the property, for which I apologise. I can assure future guests that my visitors book has many positive comments and that I am dedicated to customers having a happy and comfortable holiday in Dolphins Leap.
