“The White House is full of character and suited our large group perfectly - 8 of us including a child, who had the room at the top with the bath.”
It was great to have en-suites for all bedrooms and a downstairs toilet. There is a useful utility room and the garden is lovely - we had good weather and so were able to make good use of it. We only had 3 cars, so parking was easy, though navigating the lane is quite tight! The property is slightly quirky - the taps in the kitchen go backwards, windows don't quite fit in some rooms, the oven was a bit temperamental and one of us got stuck in the downstairs toilet! The double beds were a little small and overall the beds were a bit hard. The house is well placed, between Bridport and West Bay. We did the market on the Saturday and had a lovely Sunday lunch at the West Bay hotel, both of which can be reached by walking. It is a lovely area and well worth a visit. We only did a weekend and wish we could have stayed a bit longer.
We are glad you enjoyed your stay.
Yes it is a quirky house and we have ongoing refurbishments planned !
Whoops….. we will get that loo door sorted
