    “Great location.”

    Probably one of the closest to the front we've stayed at over the years, and we have hired at least ten. Beds very comfortable. Rooms airy and light. Small kitchen which is understandable for a property like this but all appliances worked. WiFi reliable and house was clean and tidy on arrival, along with a nice welcome bag of goodies. A nice change to find a house with ample plates, bowls and copious glasses, mugs and cutlery, which meant we didn't have to wash up every time we used a plate ...

Situated in the heart of old Lyme Regis, Monmouth Cottage is an attractive, period cottage just a short, level walk from the seafront. The property has been sympathetically modernised whilst retaining the character and charm of the cottage's Grade II listing. Along with such easy access to the restaurants, museums, artisan shops, Town Mill and beaches, the property provides high quality holiday accommodation. A welcome pack for your arrival ensures a great start to your holiday and will include milk, tea and a selection of locally sourced produce and treats. Guests can also enjoy the use of a private courtyard terrace with seating. In an excellent location, this is an ideal seaside home from which to enjoy all that the traditional holiday resort of Lyme Regis has to offer. Please note: Typical of properties of this age, the cottage has fairly steep staircases (with handrails) so extra care should be taken by the young or infirm. Supervision of younger children will be required in the raised garden area due to the access steps. The property accommodates a maximum of 4 adults. LYME REGIS

Charmouth 3 miles; Axminster 6 miles; Bridport 10 miles; Sidmouth 16 miles.

The delightful seaside town of Lyme Regis has much to offer its visitors, boasting a maze of narrow streets filled with craft and antique shops, galleries and cafes. Take a stroll along the world-famous Cobb causeway overlooking the ancient harbour, where fishing trips can be enjoyed, or try your hand at fossil hunting in the area. The scenic coastal path offers excellent walking opportunities and spectacular views of the stunning Jurassic coast, whilst the gently shelving sands and sparkling waters of Lyme Bay provide the perfect place in which to relax and unwind. A holiday destination to savour!

We have been contacted by the local council concerning essential works taking place within the car park from the 3rd Feb for approximately 3-4 weeks weather dependent.
There will be a dedicated area for cars that have a parking permit to display, however please note that EV charging will not be available during this time but Charmouth Road Car Park and Holmbush Car Park chargers will be fully operational.
