“Everything was really nice and exactly as expected.”

The host left some lovely little presents for us, which was a very thoughtful touch. The location was perfect — just about two minutes from the city centre — and parking was very convenient. Overall, everything was really good and we had a great stay.

“Overall, our stay was very enjoyable and was made extra special by the beautiful weather.”

.beautiful views. The system to collect the key from the chalet giving you access to the park which opens the gate does not work well for people who have difficulty walking an Iincline .Maintenance did come promptly to let us through this gate and it was a good thing as the door to the chalet is quite temperamental with the locks… you are given one key with two locks on the door which the key fits both, but only works one! Notice this has been mentioned in other reviews. The accommodation itself was perfect and clean, but the entrance steps could do with a thorough weed as could the front of the chalet where our allocated parking space is meant to be. We are fortunate …we have a very small car and could tuck it right under the frontage but had anyone arrived to the chalet on the left(looking out to sea) Would find it near on impossible to get through whatever size car they had.. allocated parking on the site appears to be an unresolved issue. Might stay again in the future.

There is lots of room and has a great view,but it does need a bit of a refresh,the floor needs to be re varnished and a lick of paint but apart from that it's a pleasure to stay there .

“This is a lovely chalet.”

Beautiful views and well appointed except there is no dishwasher or washing/dryer machine .This did not bother me as I am on my own but may be a problem for a family if they have wet bathers and towels etc. Also there is no shaver point in the bathroom again just pointing it out. Also TV reception is dreadful.. There is a slight issue with the parking directly outside of the chalet. I know it does say there is not allocated parking but I was able to park outside St Anton for the first 5 days no problem!! On the Thursday, the day before I was due to leave, the owners of the next chalet to left as you look at St Anton arrived. On the Friday morning when I was due to check out after loading the car and after going back in to pick up the purple rubbish bag I came out to find the owner of the next door chalet in his car up behind my car his face of thunder and his wife standing the the chalet doorway glaring at me. I said nothing and just stood there. Eventually he pulled back to allow me to reverse and leave. A bitter pill at the end of a glorious week in LR . Regrettably when I arrived I could not get in!!! As there were two locks I thought I was missing a key. I tried ringing the contact number - this was about 4.30pm - and there was a 6 minutes wait. So in case the office was about to close, I drove back up to the office and reported the problem. A VERY VERY nice maintenance gentleman said he would follow me down to the chalet. With a degree of difficulty lovely man managed to get me in as I had not realised that the one key operated the two locks. My fault.!!! Silly me!!!! Then on the Monday I returned to the chalet and again I could not get in. Again the same LOVELY gentleman arrived!!!!!! After much jiggling and he could not get in he agreed there was a fault so put a call out for the locksmith. However after some more jiggling he managed to the the door. The only other thing to say is the rather poor answering service on the recommended telephone number of 01297 443363. When I arrived and had problems getting in I tried ringing the office and it went from a 1 minute wait time to a 6 minute wait time before I decided to go back up to the office!!!!! It was OK for me as it was a lovely sunny and warm afternoon but would not be great if it was raining and blowing an East wind. Please do not let this review put you off booking this property as it is very lovely and just great for a lovely time in Lyme Regis. My problems were specific to me!!!!!!!!!

“St Anton was perfect for our family of four and dog.”

The location, thoughtful set up and facilities were ideal. I've stayed in Lyme many, many times over many years and this was my favourite place to stay. The little balcony looking out to Monmouth beach is lovely. The kitchen is well equipped and the beds are comfy. The shower was hot with good pressure and the choice of games to play was really thoughtful. The chalets are a mix of residents and holiday lets. The vibe is older and quieter. Parking is tight and I could see might get fractious if it had been busier with a difference in opinion as to whether spots were allocated or not. For us, there were lots of spaces available and it wasn't a problem. At peak times I'd probably park down at the Cobb car park and wander the short distance up after dropping my things off. Not a problem for us, but if it's the sort of thing that stresses you out, it's something to consider. I'd definitely stay here again. It was small but absolutely perfect in every way for us.

But a washing machine is neaded. The oven slide in trays are not fixed in properly . And the 2 single beds are for children andc2 small for adults. But it is a lovely chalet.

“I knew beforehand that the drainage in the shower was an issue but it had not been fixed meaning all of us had to limit how long we were showering and watching the rising water level in the tray so not ideal, and on our last day the shower didn’t work at all.”

“We have just come back from a week at St Anton and it was lovely.”

The chalet is lovely with such lovely views. Chalet is clean and well stocked kitchen everything you need and a lovely welcoming pack that went down well. All bedding and towels were included. Heaters in all rooms if needed but we didn’t need any except the towel rail when we found the switch. Parking outside the chalet not always possible if people next door are there. A lot of the parking spaces have numbers on although we were told that none were allocated. The sink and shower both drains were very slow to empty. The balcony really needs to be painted and around the balcony needs weeding a lot. But all in all just a lovely week and so nice to be able to sit outside and watch the sea. Would definitely recommend this lovely chalet in such a lovely place.

It's so great to hear your lovely comments about the chalet. The owner is very proactive and maintains it to a good standard. The parking is not allocated and there is one space per chalet. There are a couple of safety issues which might need attention. The outside light is not working and this made the steps a bit tricky at night. The door lock is jamming when trying to get out. The bathroom sink and shower drain very slowly. Everything else lovely so Thanks again .

“Had a great time, the property was just as good as advertised in a great location.”

The only downside was when we collected the keys from the key safe the fob to open the entrance gate wasn't there and we had to wait until someone was leaving before we were able to enter the site.

“Very run down, it needs some work doing to it to bring it back to how it should be, just lots of little things like: The front French doors do not work properly, we couldn’t open the right hand one at all, and the left hand one kept getting stuck which was scary The freezer needs defrosting as ice was melting and soaking the food in the fridge and dripping all over the floor The sofa was very very uncomfortable There were cobwebs everywhere on the veranda, these should be cleaned away before people stay A fixing holding a decorative plate failed and smashed the plate on the floor.”

It was such a beautiful cottage, it’s such a shame it’s not looked after enough

St Anton is located close to the beach and the historic Cobb wall. To reach the beach and chalet in a vehicle does involve driving down Cobb Road, which is a steep hill, but once you have arrived and parked the car, it is possible to walk along Marine Parade (flat walk) to reach the town and beaches.
