“We had a really lovely stay in The Annexe.”

I particularly loved the view of the sea from the bedroom window, watching the sunrise from the bathroom window and the "snug" with comfortable chairs and TV. We will definitely return to this accommodation again - it was ideally situated, being a short walk away from Holmbush car park (albeit uphill!) and the lovely gardens. Our two dogs loved it too ☺️

“The plastic overlay on the bed is uncomfortable, this is sad because the mattrass is pretty good.”

I loved the welcome Package, That was Realy nice. Wifi can be Improved. The extra charge After paying the complete booking on the booking Portal was disappointing.

“It was delightful that we could bring our dog - but the neighbour’s yappy dogs were a nuisance and unsettled our dog.”

Parking was frustrating. We found the Hill Rd car park the most useful and the three day rate was £45.

“Booked for three nights and vacated after staying one night.”

Location is good but there aren’t sea views as described. The property smells overpoweringly of damp, the wifi network doesn’t exist and the TV constantly buffers. The klick on the front door is flimsy and didn’t feel safe at all. I complained directly to Sykes Cottages on the app three days ago and am yet to have a response. Overall poor property and poor customer service.

“Would be handy if it had a slimline dishwasher as there isn't a lot of work surface and perhaps a washing machine and a bigger fridge.”

The bed was surprisingly comfortable which is unusual so that was a great bonus. The property was an unusual layout but we liked it, very clean lovely would stay here again.

“Nice welcome pack and a very comfy bed.”

Cleanliness not good; dirty cups, bin not emptied and shaving hair on dressing table mirror also, the washing up bowl and glasses very dirty. Basic things like salt and pepper missing. Listing says dog friendly however, no access to an outside area means walking them morning noon and night plus before bed. Parking fees need to be clear before booking. Cost us £45 but could be up to £65. Kitchen frying pans need replacing and the blind is broken. Also the guttering drips all night outside the bedroom window if it’s raining. The plastic mat infront of the oven is a trip hazard. Snug area is not comfortable and the tv connection goes off and on consistently. Property right on a busy road and steps to property are very uneven. Lots of rubbish and bins as you enter. Very close to Lyme Regis centre and beach shops and restaurants. This was our third holiday in Lyme Regis. Our other accommodation has always been at a very high standard. We made the best of things while we were there but would not recommend this to anyone.

It's great that you enjoyed your stay. The apartment doesn't have the facility to offer off street parking, and a week long stay can be purchased online via the council website, which may be cheaper than using the parking machine. It should hopefully be clear from the marketing that the property doesn't have outside space, and the description of dog friendly means that the property accepts dogs. “Sorry for this late response (catching up on emails etc) Thank you for a good holiday in Lyme (almost our second home for some 40+ years).”

We did enjoy our stay, even though two days were somewhat spoilt by the 'Chinese Water Torture' of the broken rainwater goods outside the bedroom window. One downer, not in the gift of the property owner perhaps, is the extra budget of £65 for parking which will need to be factored in for any future holidays. “Great place to stay, brilliant location, easy access to beach via paths and park.”

Not ideal for parking but worked quite well to stay overnight on road etc. Well equipped kitchen, nice bathroom, lovely bedroom. Couple of other comments - nothing you can really do about this but limited sitting room and no use of garden. Wifi very patchy

The Annexe at St Agnes House is a one bedroomed apartment arranged over three floors and provides a central spot for a couple to enjoy all that the delightful seaside town of Lyme Regis has to offer. Conveniently located close to the towns many restaurants and independent shops, with the beach and seafront within easy walking distance this is an ideal apartment for a couple and their dog to enjoy a break at any time of the year. The Jurassic Coastline and the South West Coastal Footpath offer stunning scenery and great walks making this a popular location for walkers. Forming part of a Grade 2 listed building, the apartment has a large entrance hall which is perfect for storing bikes or surfboards. Stairs lead to the kitchen/dining room which has sea views. The bathroom is located on this floor. A further staircase leads to a small snug area with Smart TV which is great for sitting quietly with a book. Stairs lead from the snug to the spacious king size bedroom, where you can wake and see the sea.
