“Wonderful cosy cottage, we had a fabulous 4 night break here.”
As mentioned in other reviews, the cottage is tiny, but well thought out to make the most of the space.
With two children, they adored their little room, with the high-rise bed and all the dens they could make. The eldest is 135cm, and still fitted in the little bed.

We were very impressed with how snug the cottage was. It's been a very cold February, yet within minutes of getting back and putting the electric fire on, the whole downstairs was warm. And, there were even hot water bottles and blankets left for us to use if needed.
The photos don't show just how overlooked the cottage and garden is, and the garden is not secure for very young children (no gate to the gravel car park, and a Smugglers Passageway under Cleve House to the main street).
However, this wasn't a problem for us, and the cottage was beautifully quiet at night. We did also love using the Smugglers Passageway, the children thought is was thrilling (they've read too many Famous Five stories!)
The kitchen was well thought out and supplied, the couch comfortable and the Internet as fast as copper wire can be!
We had a fabulous time, and would revisit for a weekend or short break.
Thank you so much for choosing to stay at Cleve Cottage and taking the time to write a comprehensive review. We’re so glad you enjoyed your stay and despite the cottage being snug glad you enjoyed all that it had to offer for your comfort. Would love the opportunity to welcome you back.
