“We thorughly enjoyed our stay at the old monmouth, I would highly recomend it, as we were a large party it worked realy well, never on-top of one another, one has to remember it was built in 1600,s and so some of the door frames are low & made it a slight chalange as one of the party had visual disabilty, also wonkey floors , etc, but this also adds to its charm.”
So people booking must bear this in mind along with the narrow & steep steps,
as some of ouir party love thier cooking, we were verry impressed with all the kitchen ware, knives, pots pans etc verry good quality, they looked new & unused, I asume most people eat out and the kitchen-ware is more used as visual rustic charm, we used the tables downstairs for the 9 of us and were all able to sit at one large table full of freshly coocked food,
we even used the dishwasher once (some of our party dont like them and like to wash up by hand), its an age thing)
the only negative point are minor, some paint in the celling started to come away ( simple remedial fix requierd, probably a patch repair without either letting it dry out before paiting, or not priming prior to painting,)
and we only had 2 purple waste bags, which made it difficukt on the last day clearing up, if their could be more purple bags please.
as I say the negatives are minor , location is verry good.
